The homepage of the FAS in India, this USDA site works to improve foreign market access for U.S. food and agricultural products.  In addition to more than 700 market research reports, the Service offers exporter assistance programs, import and export data, trade leads, overseas offices, news releases and export guides.

This U.S. Dept. of Commerce service helps U.S. companies enter Indian markets.  Their site offers market reports, a list of services and current political and business news.

Containing substantial datasets from the Indian Census, this site is a good resource for basic market information.

Similar to firstgov.gov, this site is a good starting point for an investigation into the legal ramifications of doing business in India.
