A good source of basic information including key data, news highlights and brief descriptions of the nations people, history and industries such as agriculture, energy, metals and the environment. Also included a link to the Santiago Times in English.

A great source for political and economic affairs information, including Key Officers of Foreign Service Posts, Online U.S. Embassies/Consulates, Foreign Per Diem rates, Background Notes (basic country overviews), Travel Warnings and more.

The Commission's web site, ProChile, provides a database of companies in Chile as well as up-to-date information for international business people seeking opportunities in trade and investment.  There are links to information on exporting to Chile, trade shows and events and biweekly economic reports..

The U.S. Embassy web site offers information on U.S.-Chilean News, commerce and trade assistance, useful links, and cultural information.

This searchable directory of over 62,000 Chilean companies and business organizations includes agriculture, computers, construction, import, health, government, etc.
 
SOFOFA - Directory of Chilean Industry:  www.sofofa.cl
This site is primarily in Spanish but going to "English Version," then "Reports and Publications" takes you to a Chilean Directory of Industry.  You can search this with English terms but will need to know enough Spanish to read the basic company information.

  Contains economic data, monetary policy reports, information in importing services and regulations.
 
National Institute of Statistics, Chile:  www.ine.cl/
  The Statistical agency of the Chilean government.  In Spanish.
